Dance is going digital.
We are so thrilled that today is National Dance Day! We feel that today is the right day to tell you that our little PMD family has been growing, and we have some very exciting opportunities coming your way. The great news is that you don’t have to be in Indianapolis to join us on this journey!
We will be focusing on the digital world and plan on having online choreography, dance classes, and training programs coming to you in the next couple of months. We think dance is and should be global. We want to extend our reach as far as we can, and we understand that not everyone can be with us in the land of milk and honey (midwest). 🙂
With you being our friends & family, we have added you to keep in touch with us. We will be sharing updates, dance tips and tricks, and inspiration every so often. Feel free at any time to opt out of chatting with us, we understand!
We also wanted to let you know we are having a contest on our social media pages Be sure to check it out as winners will be announced soon! We’re giving away a ProMotion Dance tank!
We found this little tidbit on the history of National Dance Day interesting, and thought you’d like it too!
Launched in 2010 by “So You Think You Can Dance” co-creator and DFF co-president Nigel Lythgoe, National Dance Day is an annual celebration that takes place on the last Saturday in July.
This grassroots campaign encourages Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and fight obesity. NDD achieved national recognition when Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, a long-time proponent of healthy lifestyles, announced at a press conference on July 31, 2010, in Washington, D.C., that she was introducing a congressional resolution declaring the last Saturday in July to be the country’s official NDD.
That’s one congressional movement we can celebrate!
Good health and dance are two things we feel can make a huge difference in our we feel about ourselves.
We believe that dancing daily and grooving to your favorite music can cure any ailment. Join us in our journey to light up the world with more easily accessible dance, we would love to take you with us!
